Brings to Control4 the Electrolux Wi-Fi air conditioners that work with the Electrolux app (Color Adapt Wi-Fi line and other connected models). The driver uses Electrolux's official developer integration, authorized with the customer's Electrolux account. Each unit gets a ZoomDH – Universal Thermostat, created and configured automatically.
Finds the air conditioners in the Electrolux account and creates, connects and names the thermostats with the names used in the app.
Thermostat in Navigator: on/off, Auto, Cool, Heat, Dry and Fan modes, fan speed, setpoint, temperature and air direction.
WebView interface in Navigator with the features the thermostat lacks: Energy saving, Ionizer and display LED, plus humidity on models that measure it.
Shows only the features each model has.
Interface and setup page in Portuguese and English.
Electrolux Wi-Fi air conditioners only take commands through the Electrolux cloud: the controller needs internet access to control them.
Older models that use the Electrolux Home+ app may not show up in the official integration. Before selling, check that the unit appears in the portal (see Electrolux key and tokens).
Prerequisites
Air conditioners already added to the Electrolux app and connected to the customer's Wi-Fi.
Access to the customer's Electrolux account (e-mail and password used in the app) to create the key and tokens.
Controller with internet access.
ZoomDH_Universal_Thermostat.c4z driver installed in Composer (the gateway adds it to the project).
ZoomDH license key (without a key the driver runs in trial for 30 days).
Installation
Add the ZoomDH – Electrolux AC Wi-Fi Gateway driver to the project, in the room where the thermostats should be created.
Create the key and tokens in the Electrolux portal (see below) and paste them into API Key, Access Token and Refresh Token.
The driver searches for the air conditioners by itself. For each one it creates a Universal Thermostat, connects it to HVAC Thermostats and picks the unit.
New unit in the app after installation: run Discover Devices.
To add a thermostat by hand: add the Universal Thermostat, connect its HVAC Gateway connection to the gateway's HVAC Thermostats and pick the unit in the Device property.
Refresh the Navigators to see the thermostats and the WebView interface.
The key and tokens can also be entered on the setup page (address in Setup Page URL), handy to do everything from a phone.
Electrolux key and tokens
Open developer.electrolux.one and sign in with the customer's Electrolux account (the same one used in the Electrolux app).
Under API Keys, create a key (for example "Control4") and copy it.
Under Tokens, generate the tokens and copy the Access Token and the Refresh Token.
In the portal, check that the customer's air conditioners appear in the appliance list. If they do not, the model is not covered by the official integration.
Once pasted, the driver renews the tokens by itself and keeps the new ones on the controller. There is no need to go back to the portal.
If the tokens are revoked in the portal, the driver says so in Status: generate new ones and paste them again.
Do not use the same key and tokens in another system at the same time: renewing in one invalidates the other.
WebView interface
The driver shows up in Navigator as a button that opens the air conditioner interface: one tab per unit, setpoint dial, modes, fan speed, Energy saving, Ionizer, display LED, room temperature and, above the dial as in the Control4 thermostat, the humidity (on models that measure humidity it also shows on the thermostat). Features the model lacks are hidden, and the color follows the mode. The ⋯ menu holds the air direction and the language.
The default language comes from the Language property. It can be changed in the ⋯ menu, and the choice is saved on that device.
The interface also opens away from home, through the Control4 app.
Air conditioners per room
When the same driver shows up in several Navigator rooms, you can choose, for each room, which air conditioners appear in the interface and which one opens first. This is on the setup page (Setup Page URL property), in the Interface rooms box.
A room joins the box by itself the first time the interface is opened there. It can also be added from the project's room list.
Tick the air conditioners that should appear and choose the default. A room without settings shows all of them.
If the room cannot be identified (for example, the interface opened by its direct address), all air conditioners are shown.
Properties
Property
Description
License Key
ZoomDH license key.
License Status / Driver Information
License or trial status.
Driver Name / Driver Version
Name and version of the installed driver.
Language
Default language of the WebView interface, setup page and Status (Português or English).
Tokens generated in the portal with the customer's account. They only need to be pasted once; pasting new tokens makes the driver use the new ones.
Poll Interval
Reading interval in seconds (30 to 300, default 60). Changes made outside Control4 (app or remote) show up on the next reading.
Auto Create Devices
Yes: creates and connects a Universal Thermostat for each new unit. No: only lists the units; thermostats are added by hand.
Discovered Devices
Air conditioners found in the account.
Web Page Port
Port of the interface and setup page (default 8105).
Web UI URL / Setup Page URL
Interface and setup addresses, with the access key.
Actions
Action
Description
Discover Devices
Reads the air conditioners in the Electrolux account, updates names and creates missing thermostats.
Log Raw Status
For ZoomDH support (requires ZOOMDH Debug).
Resend Web URL
Sends the interface address to the Control4 app again. Use it if the WebView keeps loading after adding or updating the driver (and close and reopen the app).
New Web Key
Changes the access key of the interface addresses (old addresses stop working).
Forget Devices
Clears the unit list. Thermostats stay in the project and go back to the same unit on the next search.
Connections
Connection
Use
HVAC Thermostats
Single connection for all thermostats: connect the HVAC Gateway connection of each ZoomDH – Universal Thermostat to it.
Troubleshooting
Status asks for the API Key or tokens: fill in API Key, Access Token and Refresh Token from the portal.
Tokens refused: generate new tokens at developer.electrolux.one and paste them again. Check that the same key is not in use by another system.
Access denied: check the API Key.
No air conditioner found: check that the units appear in the app and in the portal under the same account. Older Electrolux Home+ models may not be covered.
Unit offline: the air conditioner lost its connection to the Electrolux cloud. Check its Wi-Fi and whether it shows online in the app.
Fan speed refused in Auto mode: some models only accept Auto fan speed in Auto mode.
Temperature does not change in Fan or Dry: the unit does not use a setpoint in these modes.
Request limit: increase Poll Interval.
Thermostat without modes: wait for the next reading and check that the thermostat has a unit selected in Device.
Commands ignored and license warning in the interface: the trial ended or the key is invalid. Check License Key and License Status.
WebView loading in the app: run Resend Web URL and close and reopen the app.
Licensing
ZoomDH license per controller, entered in License Key. Without a key the driver runs in trial for 30 days.
Without a valid license
Effect
Periodic reading
Stopped: thermostats get no new state.
Commands (thermostats and WebView interface)
Ignored. The interface shows the license warning.
Device search and setup page
Keep working.
Universal Thermostats have no license of their own: they use the gateway's.
Initial version: official Electrolux integration with key and tokens from the portal (renewed by the driver), automatic device search, single HVAC Thermostats connection with automatic creation of ZoomDH Universal Thermostats, WebView interface in Português/English with per-room selection and ZoomDH license.
