Platform driver for Crestron Home that integrates Lutron HomeWorks QSX and RadioRA 3 processors over LEAP, the protocol used by the Lutron app. Same features as the ZoomDH Lutron LEAP Gateway driver for Control4.
Pairing from the app: tap Pair and press the processor button.
Automatic discovery of light zones, shades, keypads and scenes (virtual buttons). Each zone and keypad becomes a child device in Crestron Home.
Real-time feedback through LEAP subscriptions (zone levels and button events), no polling.
Robust connection: ping every 30 s and automatic reconnection (5 to 60 s), with subscriptions restored on every reconnection.
Shades without position (OpenCloseStop) tracked through the linked Lutron buttons.
Prerequisites
HomeWorks QSX or RadioRA 3 processor with the project transferred from Lutron Designer.
Crestron Home processor (4-Series) and the Crestron Home Setup app.
Crestron and Lutron processors on the same local network, TCP ports 8081 (LEAP) and 8083 (pairing) open.
Fixed IP (or DHCP reservation) on the Lutron processor.
Physical access to the Lutron processor to press the pairing button.
Installation
Copy ZoomDH_Lutron_LEAP.pkg to the processor (SFTP to /user/ThirdPartyDrivers/Import) or import it with Crestron Home Setup.
In Setup, under Pair Devices → Drivers, add Lutron → LEAP Gateway (Platform type).
Place the driver device in a room. In the Crestron Home app, open that room, tap the Lutron LEAP tile and then Pair (see Pairing).
On the first connection the driver discovers the project by itself. Lights, shades and keypads appear as child devices: place each one in its room.
Updates: the processor reuses the folder of a version already imported. Every new package has a new DriverVersion (format YYYYMMDDNN), so just import it over the old one.
Configuration
Field
Description
Lutron Processor IP Address
IP of the HomeWorks QSX / RadioRA 3 processor. Changing it reconnects immediately.
UI Language / Idioma
Portuguese or English: language of the driver pages.
Shade Travel Time (seconds)
Travel time of shades without position (OpenCloseStop), 5 to 300 s (default 30). After this time the shade shows Open or Closed.
Leave empty. Technical support only: imports a LEAP pairing made outside the driver (PEM). A pasted certificate is used once; a later pairing with the Pair button wins until a different certificate is pasted.
Pairing
On the driver page (Lutron LEAP), tap Pair.
When the status shows PRESS THE PROCESSOR BUTTON, press the Lutron processor button within 3 minutes.
The status changes to Paired and the driver connects.
The driver creates its own RSA key and asks the processor for a client certificate. The pairing is stored on the Crestron processor and survives reboots and driver updates. Pair again only after Forget pairing or if the Lutron processor is replaced or reset.

Notes
Dimmed, SpectrumTune, ColorTune
Light (dimmer)
On/off and level 0–100%, 1 s fade. Raise / Stop / Lower buttons. Slider moves are grouped (250 ms) into one command.
WhiteTune
Light (color temperature)
Level + color temperature from 1400 to 10000 K: 2700 / 3000 / 3500 / 4000 / 5000 K shortcuts and 100 K fine adjustment.
Switched, CCO, Receptacle
Light (on/off)
On and off only.
Shade, Tilt, Drape…
Shade with position
Real position 0–100%, Open / Stop / Close.
OpenCloseStop
Shade without position
Motor outputs without encoder (e.g. LQSE-4M-D). Open / Stop / Close and estimated state (Opening, Closing, Stopped, Open, Closed). See Shades without feedback.
Keypads and Picos
Keypad
Up to 24 buttons with the Lutron project names (engraving), Press button and the last event of each button.
Virtual buttons
Driver page
Scenes programmed in Lutron Designer: selector + Run on the driver page and a programmable command.
FanSpeed and others
—
Ignored (logged during discovery).
Each device is named "Area - Zone" (the Designer default area, Uncategorized Devices, is left out). Discovery runs by itself when the stored project is empty or when the driver finds another processor (different serial number). To pick up changes in the Lutron project, tap Discover: existing devices are kept, new ones are added and removed ones are withdrawn.
Circadian mode
On color temperature lights, turn on Circadian (automatic) on the light page (or use the Circadian On/Off commands in sequences). The temperature follows the Crestron processor clock: 2700 K at night (before 06:00 and after 20:00), rising smoothly to 5000 K between 06:00 and 11:00, 5000 K until 15:00 and back to 2700 K between 15:00 and 20:00. The driver adjusts every minute with a 10 s fade, and when the light turns on (also from a Lutron keypad). Choosing a temperature by hand (slider, shortcut or sequence) turns the mode off. The choice is stored per light.
Shades without feedback (Button Links)
OpenCloseStop motor outputs have no encoder, so the processor does not report whether the shade is opening, closing or stopped, nor which zone each button controls. When a Pico or keypad moves the shade directly in Lutron, Crestron Home would not know.
On the shade page, under Lutron buttons that control this shade, choose up to 3 buttons and what each one does in Lutron. On every press the driver tracks the movement using the travel time from the configuration. The button still controls the shade directly in Lutron.
Function
Use when the Lutron button…
Toggle (open/stop/close/stop)
Is a single alternating button: open, stop, close, stop.
Open / Close / Stop
Has one fixed function on every press.
Open while held / Close while held
Moves while held and stops on release.
A button controls one shade only: choosing the same button on another shade removes it from the previous one.
Stop from Crestron: QSX ignores a zone Stop after a button-started move, so the driver presses the button linked as Stop (or the toggle button while the shade is moving). Without links it sends the zone Stop.
Links are stored and kept on rediscovery while the button and the zone exist.
Important: the state is estimated. Lutron scenes and timeclocks that move the shade without a linked button are not seen. An open or close command from Crestron realigns the state.

Troubleshooting
Symptom
Likely cause / fix
Pairing does not continue after pressing the button
Wrong IP or port 8083 blocked between the processors.
Disconnected - retrying in N s over and over
Pairing rejected (Lutron processor reset or replaced) or port 8081 blocked. Use Advanced → Forget pairing and pair again.
Zone missing after discovery
Unsupported type (the log shows the ignored zone and its type) or zone without an area in the Lutron project.
Shade moved by a Pico does not update
OpenCloseStop zones have no LEAP feedback. Link the button to the shade, see Shades without feedback.
Connected - commands blocked (license)
Trial expired or invalid license. Enter the key in License Key.
Driver does not load on the processor
Check the processor log over SSH with the err command.
The driver log (Crestron Home Setup or err over SSH) records connection, discovery, commands sent and errors, in Portuguese.
Licensing
30-day trial included; the remaining time is shown under License on the driver page.
After purchasing, enter the key in License Key in the configuration. The Crestron processor needs internet access to activate and re-check.
First release for Crestron Home: pairing from the app, lights with dimming and color temperature (2700 to 5000 K shortcuts and automatic Circadian mode), shades with and without position, keypads with Press, Release, Hold and Click events for sequences, Lutron scenes, real-time feedback and screens in Portuguese and English.
