LG Wi-Fi AC (ThinQ) – driver Control4

Driver that integrates LG Wi-Fi air conditioners with Control4. It works with the models that use the LG ThinQ app, such as Dual Inverter and Artcool.

Each air conditioner shows up in Control4 as a native thermostat, created automatically and ready for Navigator, scenes and programming. Communication uses LG’s official integration: the integrator creates an access token with the customer’s LG account and pastes it in the driver, with no app or server in between. The driver icon opens an interface with the features the thermostat lacks: Energy saving, Air purify, display LED, humidity and filter life, with colors that follow the mode.

The package has two drivers:

  • ZoomDH LG ThinQ Gateway: LG account, polling and WebView interface
  • ZoomDH Universal Thermostat: one per air conditioner, all on the same gateway connection

Installation

  1. Add the LG ThinQ Gateway driver to the room where the thermostats should be created
  2. Enter the key in License Key (the driver has a 30-day trial)
  3. Create the token at connect-pat.lgthinq.com with the customer’s LG account, ticking all permissions, and paste it in Personal Access Token (or on the Setup Page URL page)
  4. The driver searches the account’s air conditioners and creates and binds one Universal Thermostat per unit (run Discover Devices to search again)
  5. Move each thermostat to the right room and refresh the Navigators

Requirements

  • Air conditioners already set up in the LG ThinQ app and connected to the customer's Wi-Fi
  • Access to the customer's LG account to create the access token
  • Control4 controller with internet access
