This driver integrates Samsung VRF split systems with Control4 directly over the F1/F2 RS485 bus, using only an RS485/RS232 adapter and no additional Samsung device.
Indoor units are identified automatically from the bus traffic and each one is controlled by the ZoomDH Universal HVAC Indoor Unit driver, with two-way feedback. Changes made with the unit’s remote control are detected and respected.
Installation
- Connect the RS485/RS232 adapter to the RS232 port of the Control4 controller
- Connect the RS485 side of the adapter to the Samsung bus: F1 → A, F2 → B
- Connect the adapter power supply
- In Composer Pro, add the ZoomDH Samsung VRF Controller driver and bind it to the RS232 port
- The driver monitors the bus and automatically creates a binding for each indoor unit
- For each unit, add a ZoomDH Universal HVAC Indoor Unit driver and bind it to the matching binding
- Adjust the modes, fan speeds and setpoints of each unit as needed
