Home Manager IP X8 / R12 / IR PRO

Integrates Home Manager IP modules (X8, R12, E28, IR PRO) and Zigbee modules (R2, X1/X2/X4, Home One and others) with Control4 without the Smart Center, configured in Composer with actions stored in the modules.

Control4LightingAutomation Systems
Home Manager IP X8 / R12 / IR PRO – driver Control4

Driver for integrating Home Manager IP modules directly with Control4, without the Smart Center. All configuration is done in Composer, and during the process a Zigbee network is created automatically between the modules, providing redundant communication.

The IP modules (X8, R12, E28) act as Zigbee coordinators and also integrate the Zigbee-only Home Manager modules, such as the new R2 (4 inputs and 2 relays), X1, X2, X4 and Home One, through the Zigbee Module driver. Input and output actions are stored in the modules themselves: if the controller or the IP network fails, the lighting keeps working.

Installation

  1. Install the Home Manager IP Device Manager driver; it automatically searches for the IP modules on the network.
  2. Power up the first module and wait for the driver to find it; it will be set up as the Zigbee network coordinator.
  3. Power up the next module and wait for confirmation; the following ones join the first module’s network automatically.
  4. For Zigbee-only modules (R2, X1, X2, X4, Home One etc.), add one Zigbee Module driver per module and choose the module in “Module Selector”.
  5. In the properties, set the input type (“Inputs Config”), the initial output state and the analog input.

Features

  • Modules configured entirely from the driver itself
  • Automatic discovery of IP modules on the network
  • Zigbee network created automatically, with redundant communication
  • Actions stored in the modules: the lighting works even without the controller or network
  • Zigbee modules (R2, X1, X2, X4, Home One, Inputs, Sensor, 0-10V) integrated through the X8, R12 or E28
  • Inputs configurable as switch, push button or sensor
  • Configurable initial output state and module replacement that keeps the configuration
  • Analog input for a light or temperature sensor
  • Dimmer, switch, keypad, shade, IR, motion sensor, RGBW and Yale Zigbee lock drivers

Requirements

  • Home Manager IP modules on the same local network as the controller
  • Controller with internet access for the license

Release notes

  1. 20261015

Library and licensing system update. New documentation (PT/EN), including use of the R2 module with the Zigbee Module driver. Fixed: linking a Zigbee module to a driver again raised an error; when replacing a Zigbee module or the IP module, the connected Zigbee drivers were not notified; when replacing the IP module, the new module's Zigbee ID and scenes were not saved; an error message sent by the module raised an error in the driver; event logging on the first connection (before the module was named) stopped the initial setup; driver large image fixed.
