Lutron – LEAP Gateway (HomeWorks QSX / RadioRA 3) – driver Control4

Integration driver for Lutron HomeWorks QSX and RadioRA 3 processors over the LEAP protocol, the same one used by the Lutron app. It works as a gateway in Control4: it reads the processor project, finds the lighting zones, shades and keypads and automatically creates a ZoomDH Universal driver for each one, placed in the room matching the Lutron area.

Pairing is done from Composer Pro itself: just press the button on the processor. Once paired, the pairing is saved and survives restarts and driver updates.

Zone levels and button events arrive in real time, with no polling. The scenes (virtual buttons) programmed in Lutron Designer are available as commands in Control4 programming.

Installation

  1. Add the ZoomDH – Lutron LEAP Gateway driver to the project in Composer Pro.
  2. Fill in the IP Address property with the Lutron processor IP.
  3. Run the Pair Processor action and, when Pairing Status asks for it, press the pairing button on the processor (within 3 minutes).
  4. With Connection Status = Connected, run Discover Devices.
  5. The Universal Light, Universal Blind and Universal Keypad drivers are created and bound automatically, each in the room named after the Lutron area. They need to be in the Documents\Control4\Drivers folder.
  6. Adjust the properties of each device created.

Features

  • Keypads and Picos with Press, Release and Hold events per button
  • Lutron virtual buttons (scenes) available in programming
  • Real-time feedback, no polling
  • Automatic reconnection, with feedback restored on every reconnection
