Driver that controls Samsung Wi-Fi air conditioners over the local network. The controller talks straight to each unit, without the SmartThings cloud, without a Samsung account in Control4 and without Home Assistant. Commands arrive right away and control keeps working even without internet.
The driver finds the air conditioners on the network by itself and creates a native thermostat for each one, ready for Navigator, scenes and programming.
Prefer the cloud integration? The Samsung Wi-Fi AC (SmartThings) driver is still available.
The package has two drivers:
- ZoomDH Samsung Wi-Fi Local: network discovery, local connection, polling and WebView interface
- ZoomDH Universal Thermostat: one per air conditioner, all on the same driver connection
Installation
- Make sure the air conditioners are on the home Wi-Fi and reserve a fixed IP for each one in the router
- Add the Samsung Wi-Fi Local driver to the room where the thermostats should be created
- Enter the key in License Key (the driver has a 30-day trial)
- The driver searches for the air conditioners by itself; to search again, run the Discover Air Conditioners action
- With Auto Create Devices set to Yes, the driver creates and binds one Universal Thermostat per unit
- Move each thermostat to the right room and refresh the Navigators
