Tuya Wi-Fi AC – driver Control4

Driver that integrates air conditioners with Tuya Wi-Fi with Control4 over the local network. It works with any brand whose Wi-Fi module is Tuya, on units set up in the Smart Life or Tuya Smart apps.

The Smart Life account is connected once, with a QR code, only to bring in the device list and each unit’s access key. After that, each air conditioner shows up in Control4 as a native thermostat, created automatically and ready for Navigator, scenes and programming. Control communication is local: commands and state go straight from the controller to the air conditioner, and the system keeps working even with no internet. The driver icon opens an interface with the features the thermostat lacks: Eco, Turbo, Quiet, Sleep, display, ionizer and humidity, depending on the model, with colors that follow the mode.

The package has two drivers:

  • ZoomDH Tuya AC Wi-Fi Gateway: account, network search, polling and WebView interface
  • ZoomDH Universal Thermostat: one per air conditioner, all on the same gateway connection

Installation

  1. Add the Tuya AC Wi-Fi Gateway driver to the room where the thermostats should be created
  2. Enter the key in License Key (the driver has a 30-day trial)
  3. Open the Setup Page URL, paste the User Code from the Smart Life app and scan the QR with the app
  4. The driver brings in the account’s air conditioners, finds each one on the network and creates and binds one Universal Thermostat per unit
  5. Move each thermostat to the right room and refresh the Navigators

Requirements

  • Air conditioners already set up in the Smart Life or Tuya Smart app and connected to the customer's Wi-Fi
  • Access to the customer's Smart Life account for the first setup
  • Air conditioners and Control4 controller on the same network
  • Internet access for the first setup (control is local afterwards)
